The CMC team would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year!
After a short break, the UCT Conference Management Centre (CMC) team is back in the office and ready to tackle 2021 head on.
Despite ever-changing circumstances, 2020 showed us that we are multi-dimensional people woven together to create a dynamic and cohesive unit. We adapted well to change.
Naturally, this new normal accelerated digital transformation and catapulted the CMC, our team, as well as our clients into the digital world. This enabled continued engagement with our customers and their teams, peers, and partners. The centre also boasts a sleek new website showcasing fresh perspectives on conferencing and events.
While COVID-19 keeps the immediate future unclear (regulations with regards to gatherings and travel and the academic calendar may still change) there are many new exciting developments at CMC.
In 2021, we will continue on our digital-ready journey and assist our clients with navigating the virtual world of conferencing and events. We aim to build on our product offerings for online events and find novel ways to do our work in this space. This includes training our team in tools, software and technology for professional video conferencing and meetings.
Additionally, we will offer our clientele a range of face-to-face event formats that comply with Covid-19 health and safety protocols. Our team is continually trained to keep abreast of new regulatory developments.
This year the centre celebrates 42 years of being in business. To date, CMC has offered over 2,500 conferences and events to more than 50,000 participants from across the globe. Our track record is our pride and we dedicate time to finding a variety of event locations to suit your unique conferencing needs.
